Get to Know Me!

For starters, I'm a 20-something newlywed setting up house a bit past the Mason-Dixon line. I was born in the south, but have spent the last 20+ years in New York and Maine (and oh how I miss them!). My wonderful husband is west coast (Washington State) born and raised. At the age of 19 he joined the Army and was stationed smack dab in the middle of the nation. We met over 3 years ago when I "adopted" him as my Soldier pen pal while he was deployed to Iraq. 3 years, countless phone calls, dozens of visits, and a second deployment later, we are finally not only in the same time zone, but under the same roof! God is good.  Now our families are on opposite sides of the country and we're doing this thing called life on our own. This is a little peak inside of what we like to think of as our "three strand' life... Strom, Regan, and God.

If I haven't lost you yet, you should know that God is everything in my life. I am nothing without Christ, and it is His grace and mercy that enables me to face each day.

You should also know that I adore my husband! He is the sweetest and most wonderful man I could have ever asked for! (And trust me, I did! I was that 14-year-old who prayed for her future husband!) I am a blessed woman.

I am a huge family girl - and I love mine more than life itself! My mom is, and has always been my best friend. My dad is my hero, and my siblings are incredible.

Life. Liberty. The pursuit of happiness. This is freedom we have been given! Live it. Breathe it! Never take it for granted.

Now that I covered those priceless things, you must know that photography is one of my life's greatest passions. Every day I love it more. I didn't grow up planning to be a photographer - I didn't even study it in school. It just hit me one day that photography is what I want to do with my life. Crazy, right? So, here I am, asking the Lord for His direction down this exciting road!

And because I love randomness, I will add that I am a coffee addict (yes, I admitted that outright...I'm not ashamed to say it anymore!) I adore the 1940's, I love over sized coffee mugs, I spend way too much time on Pinterest each week, I wish I could wear high heels everywhere (but don't want to be that girl who wears high heels everywhere) flowers make me happier than almost anything, chocolate is what makes me happier than anything, and I would rather have a book in my hands than any Nook or Kindle. Hands down. How was that for random? :)
