It took a full year of patiently waiting and hoping for this day to come, but it was all worth it when my family pulled up to our house this past weekend! Virginia is no next door neighbor to my family, and although they now reside in New York and no longer in Maine, 9 hours is still quite the trek! So you can imagine my delight after waiting an entire year for this visit to happen! From the moment they all stumbled out of their car the weekend was on. I don't think we ever really stopped to breathe! I mean, that's how we roll around here - I'm just glad they rolled right along! :)
What's a perfect fall day without apples? Seriously.
It was such a gorgeous weekend in Virginia (thank you, Lord!)
I love my amazing parents more than words can say!
Meet Bobby. The most, um, open old dog I have ever met....
My heart misses each one of them so much, but I'm so grateful for the weekend chalk full of memories! (Which shall be hitting the blog throughout the next few days!)
Thank you, amazing family, for your sacrificial love in driving those 9 hours to be with us!!

It's funny how you are so far away yet your pictures make me feel like you are right here in Spokane! We just made a co-op field trip up to Green Bluff to visit the apples a couple weeks ago and your pictures could have been straight out of our visit! Love it :)
p.s. even the "open" old farm dog! (except our was a Newfoundland--lotta hair on that dog)
