To My Dad

He's the world's most amazing guy. He's the dad who had my brother, sister and I hop in the car on summer evenings with no clue as to where we were headed, drive way out of the way in order to surprise us at our favorite outdoor ice cream stand. He's the dad who bought a pair of earplugs and accompanied my little sister and I to a Kelly Clarkson concert. He's the dad that taught himself quantitative methods for business (in mere minutes) so he could teach it to me when my professor failed at doing so. He's the dad who held me as I cried every time Strom left after our visits. He's the dad who came to every fitting for my wedding gown - and drove nearly 5 hours round trip to get me there. He's the dad who held me together as I walked down the aisle (talking about the New York Yankees and Band of Brothers of all things!) and danced the night away with the rest of us. He's the dad who drove down to Virginia with us and not only helped us get our stuff inside our house, but helped us decorate it.

My Dad is the real deal. He's what every girl hopes to have in a father. He's the one I have looked up to and held my standard at. He's one in a million and I love him more than there are words in the dictionary. I may live states away now, but I will always be his little girl. Even when I'm 100.

Happy Father's Day
AND
Happy Birthday, Dad!!
I love you!
