There are some memories that when looking in the rear-view mirror of life that actually glow. This is one of them. Yes, it's probably because my time with Laura and Eli was spent at sunset, but I like to think it's because these two are really that special.
Laura, wife to an Air Force pilot and mother to precious Eli, is my cousin. I have always loved and admired Laura for the amazing woman she is, and since joining the "ranks" of military wife myself, she has been a source of strength and encouragement to me. When she asked if we could take photos of both her and Eli for her husband (who was serving in Afghanistan) I was absolutely on board.
It was Eli's first birthday as we played in the sand and watched the sun go down over the gulf. He's about the cutest thing on God's green earth. A miracle baby to say the least. The faces Eli makes will melt your heart and keep you laughing.
Such a special and yes, a glowing memory! :)
