Mozart in the Park

Strom and I often have little discussions with each other about what each other is like. If you were to sum me up on one word.... What do you think I am more like, city or country? That kind of thing. Often I am better at this game (depends on my vocabulary capabilities that day), but sometimes he summarizes me in a point-blank fashion that actually blows me away. I shouldn't be surprised after four years together, but I always am.

Our latest discussion had Strom summarized as rugged (he had a shaggy beard I just couldn't see past!). Me? Queen. I took offense to this momentarily, thinking his thought process had me on a "holier than thou" pedestal, and although I still don't know what he meant by that (y'all are laughing, I know ~ you already know, don't you? Personal blind spot perhaps...) but he assured me it had nothing to do with vanity. It's just you, babe. Mmmmk.

Well, I don't vacation in the Hamptons, never have. My makeup is Cover Girl (when I wear it) and I love a good bargain. My favorite pair of jeans are seasons old, and I squeeze every last drop out of the toothpaste before throwing it out. I'm not quite sure where Queen fits in, but my name does in fact mean that very word. So, perhaps I'm destined in some way or another! Royalty in Christ, perhaps?? :)

In any event... We may not have been the attendees with cheese and wine in our little picnic basket, but we did enjoy an evening filled with the finer things in life... a little Mozart in the Park for my queen-like, classier side! ;)

Looks like it was fun! I wish we could have gone, but after looking at those pictures, I think four little boys in near proximity would have been "frowned upon". I'm glad you guys went, though. A little Spokane culture :)

The first pic of you and Strom w/ the flowers is definitely frame-able!!
