The Best Kind of Photography

I came across this link on Facebook of all places and couldn't resist posting it over here. The article, "A Father Who Creatively Captures His Kids" from My Modern Met,contains twenty of thee most precious and adorable photos of Jason Lee's (the photographer) two beautiful daughters.

In the article, Lee explains how he began his photography project when his mother was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma. He started a blog for his mother to bring her cheer and keep her up to date with her granddaughters' lives. And basically, the rest is history!

"Q: How do you come up with such creative photos of your daughters? What's your creative process like?
A: Most of the ideas come from the girls, from observing them play, or hearing the funny and outrageous things they say. Their day to day life also plays a big role for my inspiration. Creative process, hmm, thats a tough one. After coming up with an idea, I then 'set up' the scene, and often use artificial lighting to enhance the images. It helps to plan out the shoot before hand, so at most, I only have them in the shoot for a minute or two."

Here are a few of my favorites from the photo spread:

Seriously. These are some of the cutest photos. The best kind of photography! If you have kids, you have to create something like this! And if you do, I must see your end result. I will have to add this to my own future "To Do" list.
