What a day. It began at the crack of dawn and only calmed down a few short hours ago (it's 2300 hours... that's over 15 hours. Can I just say my feet and back ache from the day in the kitchen??). But it was as wonderful as it was delicious. Even though we worked all throughout the day to avoid the last hour of rushing around the kitchen, we still ran down to the last minute. Each year I wonder if we'll actually pull the meal off. But sure enough, we once again find ourselves seated around the table, eagerly anticipating the hard-earned Thanksgiving dinner.
This is how the day went:
{No better way to make your stuffing: A) from scratch and B) while having fun!}
{For your information, that is a lobster pot. If you've never used such a pot, here's a hint: They're enormous. That was a lot of bread to cut!}
{The men hard at work! We ladies love such a sight.}
{My dad had enough of their stealing of the turkey ~ he started chasing us off!}
{Our lovely dinner settings}
{Photo courtesy of my brother, Jack!}
{Me & my beautiful mom! How I have missed her!}
{That would be my handsome dad once again!}
{Yum... Tomorrow we are going to pay...}
A very Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!! And a wonderful Christmas season!
