The Declaration of Independence
"We hold these truths to be self evident,
that all men are created equal;
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights;
that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
For the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of the Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor."
While we celebrate today with BBQs, fireworks and fun activities with loved ones, let us not be ignorant to the importance of this day. Let us remember the courage our founders had by declaring this, our independence, from tyranny and seeing it through with perseverance and honor.
