At the start of the weekend, the husband and I made a to-do list for the next 2 days. We kept it short, having little faith in ourselves to actually follow through (which was a wise idea). I am entirely psyched though because the one thing we did was hang the mirror in our bedroom! That dang thing has been sitting on the floor for over a month now (even before we bought the dresser!) screaming to be hung.
I suppose we could have just purchased the mirror that accompanied the dresser and chest of drawers, but where's the fun in that? I like coordination, but I'm not about being "matchy matchy." I'm sure I got the idea to be "different" with my mirror on a design blog somewhere (I'd give you credit, whoever you are, if I actually remembered the site!).
I love love *love* my mirror. Our mirror. Whatever. It's hard to call the more feminine decor "ours" but I do suppose it's the correct word usage. I found it at Tuesday Morning for a mere $59. I stared at it for about 30 minutes, thinking it was a little too much for me to dish out on a mirror, but caved after a phone call to my wise mother ensuring me it was a good deal. (And since this, I've searched all over for mirrors for elsewhere in the house and I'm convinced I got an awesome deal!)
And it looks vintage. Shabby chic even. What can I say? I love it.
{Little up close and detailed for ya}
