Boxwood Inn: A Colonial Bed & Breakfast

Do you know that feeling when you've just discovered something perfect? At least as close to perfect as it gets here on earth. That's how Strom and I felt when we walked into the beautiful Boxwood Inn of Williamsburg, Virginia. Everything down to the aroma in the air was us. So us. The gorgeous Shaker farm table, the portraits of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson on the walls, the insanely beautiful porch off the back where we sipped our evening coffee in the summer night air... Our room was beyond lovely with its perfect colonial color palate of blues, creams and golds... And the breakfasts! Delicious!! And only a half mile outside of Merchant's Square and the historic district, Boxwood Inn is about as close to perfect as it gets!

Sandi, the innkeeper was as delightful as they come. We felt like friends when we hugged her goodbye! (Yup, we're those people!) As cute as other B&B's in the area seem... I don't think we are ever going to need to try them. This place is our Williamsburg home away from home!

You'll see why by the end of this post!
